In order to solve the problem of low recovery rate of triangle coal at the end of thick coal seam fully mechanized top caving face, the in-depth research was conducted in Dashucun Mine, and a set of double staggered support technology method suitable for the upper and lower roof of thick coal seam in caving face was formed. This technology was implemented in No. 172402 Face. The results showed that the problem of end triangle coal mining was solved, raw coal of 64 500 t was recovered, the tense connection of the working face was alleviated, the traditional advanced support process was reduced, more coal could be cut every day, and the production efficiency was increased by more than 25%. This technology provided a new idea for the end support of working face, and could be popularized and applied in working face under similar conditions.
