Abstract: The mining situation of historical small kilns on the working face of the coal mine is not clear, and the harmful gas in the goaf accumulates in large quantities, and the hidden danger of fire is prominent, which seriously threatens the safety production of the mine. In order to solve the hidden danger problems such as spontaneous combustion and harmful gas leakage in the goaf of the first mining face of No. 13 coal seam in Shaping Coal Mine, continuous nitrogen injection is carried out in the mining process of the working face, and the spontaneous combustion of residual coal in the goaf of the working face is prevented. At the same time, the air leakage control technology is adopted, and the pumping station is set up. The buried pipe is used to extract the goaf, and the concentration levels of key gases such as CO and O2 in the upper corner are controlled. In the process of continuous implementation of the control measures, the first mining face of No.13 coal seam was successfully pushed forward more than 700 m and successfully separated from the mined-out area. The results showed that the control measures such as nitrogen injection and drainage could effectively prevent spontaneous combustion in the mined-out area, avoid accidents such as hypoxia and CO overrun, and provide a guarantee for the safe mining of the working face.
