Abstract:In order to solve the problem of "Plastics Pollution" caused by traditional plastics, biodegradable material polybutylene succinate (PBS) has attracted more and more market attention. Therefore, obtaining low-cost succinic acid could promote the popularization and application of PBS effectively. The succinic acid was obtained by dissolving the glutaric acid and adipic acid from mixed dibasic acid with organic solvent. The effects such as different solvents, liquid-solid ratio and quality ratio of raw material on the purity of succinic acid were investigated. The results show that the halogenated hydrocarbon was used as solvent, under the conditions of 80 ℃,11 solid-liquid ratio, 0.3 DBA content and 1.5 h dissolution time, the succinic acid product with purity of 97.4% can be obtained in just one dissolving process, and the recovery of succinic acid is more than 98%. The full use of adipic acid by-products was made, the production cost of succinic acid was reduced effectively, and a foundation for further obtaining higher purity succinic acid was laid .
