Based on the hard roof and large mining pressure in withdrawal roadway in 3109 fully mechanized caving face in Wangyun Mine, which could not guarantee the safe withdrawal of the support, a pressure relief scheme for blasting and cutting was proposed. The direct roof was blasted with cutting slice, he blast hole parameters were determined based on the geological condition and cutting slice test, charging structure and cumulative blasting pipe were designed reasonably, which optimized the construction technology and ensured the safe recovery mining.
