The technological process of recovery of isopropanol was designed by extractive distillation and optimized by simulation. Using process simulation software PRO/II, using glycol as extractant and based on NRTL model, the gas-liquid equilibrium data were correlated. The whole process was operated by three towers, of which the first tower was the reduced pressurecrude distillation tower, the second tower was the extractive distillation tower, and the third tower was the solvent recovery tower. The extractant was fed from the fourth plate, the raw material liquid was fed from the nineth plate, and the mass ratio of the extractant and crude isopropanol was 2∶1. Qualified high purity isopropanol was extracted from the top of the tower, which purity > 99.8% and recovery > 95%.
