Similar to ethylene plant, in the methanol-to-propylene(MTP) process, the CO2 of the MTP product gas need to be removed to prevent the CO2 from freezing and blocking the equipments and pipelines in the low-temperature operation of cryogenic equipment and disrupting the normal production. At the same time, if the content of CO2 in the ethylene product is too high, it will also affect the follow-up polyolefin plants. Starting from the technological process, the configuration and operation effect of alkali washing system in MTP unit were introduced. It is put forward that the alkali washing tower is arranged after the deethanizer and the mode of two-stage alkali washing plus CO2 adsorbent adsorption is adopted, which can fully meet the requirements of CO2 removal in feed gas.
