According to the hard roof of No. 15 coal seam in Fenghuangshan Mine, the test results of hydraulic fracturing and deep hole blasting for the first time were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the first step pressure distance of the basic roof after hydraulic fracturing was 28 m, and the strength was low, and the caving effect was better than the deep hole blasting. Moreover, the technology was beneficial to mine safety production and provided new technical means for the hard roof treatment in China.
