In order to solve the mining in thick coal seam fully mechanized mining face, Yuhuang Mine using the transportation along the groove along the bottom mining caused serious coal roadway surrounding rock deformation, with high cost and slow speed of mining problems. Based on the analysis of the specific geological conditions of the surrounding rocks in the transportation roadway, it was proposed that the transportation roadway along the top adopted bolt and anchor cable support. Based on analysis of mining working face back pressure condition, the monitoring results showed that deformation of the surrounding rock of roadway got good control, the feasibility of transportation along the groove and top driving was settled, the technology could satisfy safe mining.
