In the process of coal seam mining, it was threatened by a variety of water bodies. Among them, the threat of confined water to overlying coal seam mining had the characteristics of wide influence range and great threat. Almost all coal mine flooding accidents were caused by this kind of water damage. In order to find out the distribution of confined water in the working face in advance, this paper took No.9303 Face of Xipang well in Dongpang Mine of Jizhong Co., Ltd. as an example, and used two geophysical detection methods of audio electrical perspective and electric depth-measurement to detect the confined water in the floor of the working face in two roadways. By analyzing the distribution of apparent resistivity and conductivity contour line, the spatial position and distribution of confined water under the floor of the working face were determined. The results showed that the comprehensive application of the two detection methods of audio frequency electric perspective and electric depth-measurement could reduce the phenomenon of false positives and omissions, improve the detection accuracy, which had a good application effect in the detection of confined water in the working face.
