Abstract:The No. 5 coal seam of Fenyuan Coal Industry is about 63 m below the Ordovician limestone, and the water abundance of Ordovician limestone aquifer is strong, which is the main direct water filling aquifer in No.5-103 working face. There are many faults exposed during the excavation of the working face, and the structure is complex. There is the possibility of conduction between Ordovician limestone water and the floor of working face through the structure. In order to prevent the water outburst accident caused by limestone water gushing along the structure fracture zone in the lower part of the working face, the direct current method exploring depth method and transient electromagnetic exploring depth method were used to comprehensively detect the water abundance characteristics of sandstone and Ordovician limestone in the lower part of the working face and the water content and conductivity characteristics of the fault, so as to formulate correct water prevention and control measures and ensure the safe mining of the working face.
