Abstract： The water damage prevention and control work in the mining area of Shanxi Zezhou Tiantai Yuenan Coal Industry was taken as an example, through various investigation means in the mining area, basically the distribution of small kiln mining damage area, historical mining area and mining water accumulation area were identified, the hydraulic connection between mining area and surface water and stratum water were summarized and analyzed, the comprehensive method of mining area investigation, verification and prevention by combining the actual production exposure and drilling verification was given.
