Abstract： In order to prevent floor water outburst in fault area, taking the No.F18502-02 normal fault exposed in 18502 working face of Malan Mine as the engineering background, this paper analyzed the influence law of working face mining on floor water outburst in fault structure area by revealing the mechanism of floor water outburst in fault structure area. It was showed that the plastic failure range in front of the working face and the plastic failure range in fault structure area communicated with each other and formed a water conduction channel, which was the main cause of floor water outburst in fault structure area. Based on this, the prevention and control of water outburst grouting was carried out in No.18502 face of Malan Mine.
