Abstract: Based on the exploration data of Fangxing Mine, this paper analyzed the hydrogeological characteristics of the mining area from the aspects of regional hydrogeological conditions, stratum water abundance, and mine water filling factors. The conclusion showed that the Quaternary system of the mining area, the ninth-level beach section of the Yelang Formation, the Shabaowan section, and the Longtan Formation had weak water abundance. The Quaternary system belonged to the weak aquifer, and the rest was the relative aquiclude. The water abundance of the Changxing Formation was medium, which belonged to medium aquifer. The Yulongshan section of the Maocaopu Formation and the Yelang Formation was rich in water and belonged to a strong aquifer ; the Maokou Formation was extremely rich in water and belonged to a strong aquifer. The water filling sources of the mine mainly included atmospheric precipitation, surface rivers, underground bedrock fissure water and karst water. The water filling channels mainly included rock joint fissures, mining fissure, fault fracture zone, structural fissure, old kiln goaf, karst pipeline and so on. The hydrogeological conditions of No.9 and No.11 coal seams in the mining area were medium in complexity, and the hydrogeological types belonged to two model of three category; the hydrogeological conditions of No.13 and No.14 coal seams were complex, and the hydrogeological types belong to three model of three category.
