In order to ensure the smooth excavation of 3207 transportation roadway in Kunda Coal Industry through the goaf area, according to the geological and hydrological conditions of the roadway, transient electromagnetic detection technology was adopted to detect the location of old hollow water, and the transient electromagnetic detection scheme according to the characteristics of transient electromagnetic response was designed. The detection results showed that the goaf water area was mainly 60-100m, and the old hollow water area at the right gang is mainly in the range of 65 ~ 105 m ahead. By designing the water release borehole, the roadway can be mined through the goaf water area smoothly.
