In order to ensure the safe production of the large dip angle mining face of No.3 coal seam in Pingshan Coal Industry, the 31016 inclined mining face of the mine is taken as the background. The 3DEC software, UDEC software simulation, theoretical analysis and other methods are used to explore the failure characteristics and mechanism of the surrounding rock of the stope, analyze the potential threat of inclined mining, demonstrate the feasibility of inclined mining of the working face, and design the technical measures such as roof fall and rib protection hardware, which effectively guarantees the safe and efficient mining of the large angle inclined mining face, and provides reference examples and technical schemes for the fully mechanized mining of inclined coal seams under similar conditions.
