Magmatic rock characteristic and influence on coal seam of Qucun exploration area in Huoxi coal field

Abstract: By analyzing the data of five drilling hole constructed in Qucun exploration area, development characteristic of magmatic rock and magmatic intrusion influence on coal seam were studied in Qucun exploration area of Huoxi coalfield. The results showed that the main strata of coal measures in the exploration area were intruded by magmatic rocks in the Mesozoic Yanshan period, and the occurrences were mainly bedrock and dyke. Magmatic rocks were mainly monzonite and diorite porphyry, both of which were porphyritic structure, massive structure and good automorphism. Magma intrusion made the main minable No.2 and No.9 coal seams swallowed and immersed in a large area in the exploration area, affected the coal quality and reduced the industrial utilization value. The study showed that the coal resource had a bad prospect of development and utilization in Qucun exploration area.
