In order to effectively solve the problem of gas overrun in the goaf and upper corner of the working face after the cancellation of the gas tail lane, and reduce the construction of the connecting lanes, a technology of using large diameter boreholes to mine the goaf was proposed. The rig equipment and supporting construction process flow and parameters were selected and designed. After field application, the gas drainage effect showed that as the working surface advanced, large-diameter drilling can effectively change the gas flow field in the goaf and make the working surface The corner gas concentration was basically maintained in the range of 0.25% ~ 0.60%. The large diameter borehole gas treatment process was simple, the construction speed was fast, and the cost was low, which greatly eased the tension problem of coal mine mining replacement, and can effectively solve gas overrun problem in the upper corner and goaf, improve gas drainage efficiency.
