Drive sprocket and circular chain are important power transmission parts in scraper conveyor. SolidWorks software was used to model the driving sprocket and circular chain of the SGZ764-400 scraper conveyor in Sihe Mine, combining the actual working conditions, with ANSYS/LS-DYNA software to analyze the problems existing in the operation process, which showed that there was a stress concentration phenomenon in the sprocket. In response to this problem, the optimization and improvement of the drive sprocket was carried out, which reduced the maximum stress value and improved the wear resistance and service life of the drive sprocket.
