The comprehensive performance of the shearer control system is very important for coal mining efficiency and underground operation safety. The MG750 / 1900-GWD coal mining machine was taken as an example, the functional characteristics that needed to be satisfied when the control system was improved, and the system structure composition was designed and analyzed, and the hardware system, software system, and the overall anti-interference ability were designed and improved. The improved control system had higher operating stability and control accuracy, can meet the needs of the shearer and improve the operational safety of the shearer.
