The S2704 working face of Dongpang Mine was equipped with MG500/1130-WD AC variable frequency electric traction shearer. In order to maximize the recovery of coal resources, the existing MG500/1130-WD AC variable frequency electric traction shearer was extremely complicated. A series of techniques for the shearer motor, pump box, traveling mechanism, traction section and rocker arm of the shearer were transformed for the problems exposed by the shearer under large dip angle and large dip mining conditions. The transformation successfully solved the problem of insufficient traction of the shearer, the suction of the oil pump, the frequent damage of the guide shoe and the smoothing shoe, and the local lubrication of the traction part and the rocker arm, which improved the adaptability and reliability of the shearer of this type.
