In order to control the influence of working face mining, eliminate the excessive post-mining deformation of the mining area and maintain the stability of the alleyway, by analyzing the arrangement of the roadway and the distribution law of the advanced support pressure of the working face, it was proposed to block the transmission path of the advanced support pressure by cutting the top pressure relief technology to achieve the purpose of protecting the roadway of the mining area. The key to the construction of the top-retention alley technology was introduced, the construction effect was analyzed, and the role of top-retention pressure relief in protecting the alleyway was proposed, as well as the key issues noted of the technology.
