In order to control impact of pressure on roof of hollow roadway, existing technology of cutting and unloading top of left lane was used. Combining with actual production status of 22113 working face, top depth cutting and unloading technology along roof of empty roadway was proposed. Reasonable cutting height in 22113 working face return lane was determined as 12m through simulation, and blasting space was 6m. According to measured results, the technology was effective in controlling deformation of roadway and stability of coal column.
