In order to solve the problems of low utilization rate and serious replacement of roadway in Shuguang Mine, it was designed to apply the technology of gob-side retaining at 1228 working face. Through theoretical analysis calculation, numerical simulation, and mining pressure monitoring, research showed that through cutting and unloading, pressure can improve the stability of the surrounding rock in the remaining roadway. The optimal depth of the cutting hole was 7 m. The relevant parameters of the design of "cutting roof pressure relief + constant resistance large deformation anchor cable" supporting roadway support were designed. The monitoring results showed that the displacement of the surrounding rock in the remaining roadway was very small, with good application of the technology of automatic roadway cutting and pressure relief in Shuguang Mine.
