In order to ensure the reliable support of the roof in the retaining roadway along the 3405 fully mechanized caving face in Dayang Mine, based on the original supporting parameters, it was proposed to lay double-layer metal mesh, roof encryption cable arrangement and roadway reinforcement anchoring in the roadway. Strengthening support measures such as steel strips on the roof and roof, through theoretical calculation, the pressure of the roof along the roadway was 15.42MPa, which was much smaller than the compressive strength of C40 concrete. According to the data obtained from the pre-set roof separation and soft mold wall pressure gauge, the lag strengthening support distance was determined as 300 m. The research results showed that the selection of the support parameters in the roadway and the effect of retaining the roadway met the requirements of the replacement working face, with considerable economic benefits.
