In response to the problems of low support strength and easy fall of broken rock during the support of anchor cable networks in traditional tunnels of Luning Coal Mining Company of Lu'an Group, by optimization of single anchor and cable support for tunnels, a new type of safety support device was designed. Its structure, working principle, advantages and disadvantages, and application effects were analyzed. Through practical application, it was found that the optimized support device was suitable for the broken roof of the roadway under complicated conditions.
