Based on the serious problem of surrounding rock crushing under high ground pressure in 10-102 working face roadway of Mugua Mine, conventional mining method was difficult to meet the demand of safe production. Therefore, the difficulty of mining and supporting was analyzed, and the supporting parameters were calculated in detail and the supporting method was optimized. The results showed that the maximum settlement value of the roadway roof was 43 mm, the maximum movement rate 8 mm/d, the maximum movement distance of both sides of the roadway 29 mm, the maximum movement rate 5 mm/d, and the support optimization effect was significantly improved.
