Study on deformation mechanism of surrounding rocks of isolated face

As a major threat of safe mining, recovering roadway deformation in isolated island, based on the fully understanding of the deformation failure mechanism, the controlling measures were given to ensure safe mining. S6-5 isolated island of Changcun Mine of Lu’an Group was taken as study object, FLAC3D was adopted to study the deformation feature and mechanism in recovering roadway, which provided theoretical reference for roadway support. The result showed that the stress concentrated in the front of coal wall, the advanced support peaked at the head of coal wall about 8 m, with the peaking value 14.8 MPa, the reason of large deformation in roadway due to the increasing vertical stress and the complex strata, the bolt-mesh-anchor combined support was put forward to reinforce the support of two sides.
