The influence of different kinds of activated carbon,and the activated carbon by acid-base and oxidation modification on the adsorption performance of nitroacetophenone isomers was explored in the static experiment. The adsorption and separation properties were evaluated in the dynamic experiment. The results show that adsorption performance of the coconut-shell activated carbon is the best of all; the adsorption capacity of the activated carbons modified by 5% hydrogen peroxide and sodium hydroxide were increased. The adsorption performance of activated carbon for ortho-nitroacetophenone is very different from the other two, it provides a data support of the adsorption and separation of ortho-nitroacetophenone from nitroacetophenone isomers in industrial production.
