Natural gas distributed energy is an important part of the energy strategy transformation in China. At present, the natural gas distributed energy is vigorously being promoted in China.The application status both at home and abroad was introduced, and the significance and advantages of distributed energy were expounded, and the economics of building-type natural gas distributed energy were analyzed based on a running program.It is pointed out that during developing natural gas distributed energy, there are the current problems diffcult interconnection of power network and internet, short supply of natural gas, inperfect policies and regulations，and the lack of social cognition. It is pointed out that the relevant policies, regulations and standards should be improved, natural gas distributed energy should be brought into the regional development plan, and the subsidies for gas power generation should be increased.
