Bleomycin( BLM ) is a kind of amino glycopeptide antibiotic which shows high antitumor activity. The chemical property，mechanism and clinical therapeutics of bleomycin were summarized. In order to promote clinical application of bleomycin, avoid pulmonary toxicity induced by bleomycin and resolve the problem of drug resisitance of tumor cells which formed gradually in the cause of treatment, bleomycin derivatives should be developed to improve clinical therapy and reduce the side effect.
