Ordovician regular seismic interpretation of north china type coalfield had limitation on interpretation of water-resisting layer restricted by resolution ratio. Wave impedance inversion method based on model was adopted, which enhanced resolution ratio of original seismic section and explained top and bottom interface of Ordovician water-resisting layer effectively. The study showed that distribution characteristics of Ordovician top water-resisting layer could be determined, which provided important basis for water resources preservation during mining and regional grouting reconstruction, as well as provided reliable safeguard to prevention and control of water disasters work in coal mine.
