Productionsafety of working face was at risk of causing roof caving and fire accidents easily because hard roof of fully mechanized coal miningface with high gasstrip map was hard tocollapse in coal mining process, goaf of working face was hanging arch, and large amount of gas was gushed from goaf. Based on coal seam occurrence conditions and roof lithologic character, hanging arch situation in goaf was avoided effectively with presplitting blasting method, reasonable drilling parameterand explosive payload and artificial forced caving. With method of step type gob drainage pipe, efficiency of goaf drainage was improved, problem of gas density in working face was solved and safety production was guaranteed, which providedvaluableexperience to efficient mining of high gas hard roof in working face.
