Abstract: In order to prepare an oxidized polyethylene wax lotion with high content and appearance close to transparency, self-made emulsifier was creatively used to prepare oxidized polyethylene wax lotion by using oxidized polyethylene wax solid wax as the main component and high shear at room temperature. The effects of emulsifier amount, emulsification time and emulsification temperature on the performance of lotion were discussed. The results showed that 30% of emulsifier amount (compared with OPE solid wax) was used, and the emulsification temperature was 130 ~ 135 ℃, The shear speed is 100 ~ 1 500 r/min, and the emulsification time is 1 h. The oxidized polyethylene wax lotion with better performance can be obtained. The performance of the lotion prepared by this formula process is close to that of the lotion prepared under high temperature and high pressure. The performance of the optimized product was compared and tested, and its application in the field of water-based industrial paint was briefly discussed.
