In order to grasp the distribution of the water-rich area of the roof aquifer of No.9 coal seam in Cilinshan Mine, combined with the geological conditions of No.9 coal seam, the water-richness analysis of the roof aquifer was carried out by means of evaluation analysis, and the water-richness evaluation system of the roof aquifer was established through the steps of constructing the evaluation index system, quantifying the evaluation index, and determining the weight, etc. The data superposition was carried out by using the multifaceted geological information system to determine the comprehensive water-richness of the roof of No.9 coal seam. The water-richness belongs to medium-weak, and the weak water-rich area and medium water-rich area accounted for 72% and 28%, respectively. Based on the verification results of water-richness zoning of the No. 9 coal seam roof aquifer, it was known that the water-richness zoning results of No. 9 coal seam were reasonably divided and can provide effective guidance for mining.
