In order to solve the problem of structure development, fluctuation of the coal strata in Hulonggou Mine, the broken roof of the working face, the serious rib-spalling, the large area of the empty roof, possible roof caving the of the extra-thick coal seam working face during stoppage, the grouting reinforcement was adopted to improve the surrounding rock integrity. The combination of “anchor + anchor cable + anchor cable + pre-stressed beam + metal mesh + raft”, and the method of reinforcing the top roof of the two sides ensured the safety of working face and the safe removal of support in the working face.
