In order to effectively control the deformation of surrounding rock of roadway under the influence of strong mining action in 9-101 fully mechanized caving face, by analyzing the deformation law of surrounding rock and the failure characteristics of supporting structure, the surrounding rock support scheme of the working face and continuous monitoring of the deformation of surrounding rock during mining were given. The results showed that under the existing support mode, the maximum displacement of the top and bottom plates of the 9-101 working face was 238 mm, and the maximum displacement of the two sides was 165 mm. The deformation of the surrounding rock was reasonable and met the requirements of safe production.
