In order to reasonably arrange the mining area and working face, the coal mining method was determined in advance, and the thickness characteristics of the main recoverable coal seams in the mine were studied and analyzed. Through the statistical analysis of the mining and drilling data of the mining roadway in Tangshan Kailuan Linxi Mining Corporation Ltd.(referred to as Linxi Mine), the distribution of the thickness of the main recoverable coal seams in Linxi Mine was got. The contour map of the main recoverable coal seam thickness was got by Surfer software, and then the thickness characteristics of the main recoverable coal seams in the Linxi Mine were determined, which avoided the meaningless roadway mining in economy, provided a basis for the mining connection and rationally guided the production.
