Safety problem played an important role in coal mine and electromechanical faults were potential threats for that. In order to ensure safety production, new mechanical and electrical safety regulation was made. Record data before and after implementation of the new regulation was contrasted so that analyzing the changing breakdown probability of mechanical and electrical. The results showed that mechanical failure probability had reduced obviously and electromechanical operation had improved. Frequency of electromechanical faults was decreased from 220 times a year to 119 times a year, average probability of failure was reduced from 20.15 % to 10.10 %. And least squares fitting method was used to analyze periodic changes of electromechanical faults after implementation of this new system, which showed that electromechanical fault probability was stable at around 10.1 %,, surge phenomenon would appear in 42 days averagely, and the maximum failure probability was about 29.7 %.
