Due to the complex time-space relationship of the close distance coal seam mining, the surrounding rock of the stop has a complex stress field, affecting the stability of roadway nearby. Reasonable stopping line has an important significance to the stability of the roadway in the close distance coal seam, according to the geological conditions of the Jinjiazhuang coal mine No. 3 coal seam, through theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, analysis of No. 3 coal seam west mining area different stopping line impacting the lower coal seam down-dip roadway. The 30 m reasonable stopping line was settled, not only reduced the stress around the down-dip roadway of the lower coal seam, but also reduced deformation of the roadway, improved the recovery rate of coal resources.
