Based on the serious broken coal and rock body nearby fault, with roadway roof falling problem, in order to control roof falling and achieve rapid roadway recovery, combined with the actual situation of 7512 transportation roadway of Qiuji Mine, the feature and reason of fault roof falling were analyzed. Coal body in the roadway is soft, with poor self bearing capacity and falling after mining, upper beam method was adopted to support roadway and construct artificial roof and "bolt-mesh-anchor + shed" combined support technology. The result showed that the technology improved the self-stability of roadway, with good effect.
