The traditional use of 25 ~ 35 m wide coal pillars in Majialiang Mine has caused waste of resources. This time, the narrow coal pillar gob-side entry driving technology was used to design a coal pillar width of 7 m between the 14206 transport crossheading and the 14205 goaf. In order to ensure the smooth application of this technology, through the combination of numerical simulation and field test, the failure and deformation characteristics of surrounding rock under the condition of 7 m narrow coal pillar roadway protection were studied, and the reasonable support parameters were optimized and determined. The feasibility of the scheme was verified by numerical simulation. In the application practice stage, the mine pressure monitoring is carried out, and the design scheme has achieved ideal supporting effect, which ensures the safety and stability of the roadway during mining, and improves the recovery rate and utilization rate of coal resources.
