Abstract:The width of coal pillar in No.28214 Face of Dongqu Coal Mine is 21.2 m, and the surplus space is large. The deformation of roadway, the loose circle of coal pillar and the stress of coal pillar were monitored. The width of coal pillar in No.28214 Face was divided into plastic zone and elastic core zone. The width of coal pillar was calculated to be 16.8 m. The convergence of roadway was monitored under the width of coal pillar. The maximum subsidence of roof was 48 mm, and the maximum convergence of two sides was 46 mm, which ensured the stability of roadway and reduces the waste of coal. This technology can provide reference for other similar mines.
