Numerical simulations were carried out with FLAC 3D software to ensure the stability of the deep pump room refuge group in Xingdong Mine. The results showed that there was a trapezoidal non-plastic area in the bottom plate of the working face, and the surrounding rock was relatively stable, the distance from the top plate of the pump room of the drainage system to the 2127 working face goaf was 13.8 m. Based on the analysis of the stability mechanism of the chamber group, the organic combination of three types of support methods anchor mesh beam, U-shaped steel ring support, and concrete pouring was proposed to form a multi-layer effective combination arch support. The proposed method was a combination of anchor mesh beam, U-shaped steel ring support and concrete casting.
