In order to study the effect and law of sub-source extraction in fully mechanized caving face of close distance coal seam group, and reasonably formulate the technical scheme of gas control, taking 3307 fully mechanized caving face of a mine in Hancheng mining area as the test object, the extraction borehole is designed to analyze the effect of gas extraction. The results show that the extraction purity of bedding boreholes is 1.3 times and 1.9 times of that before mining, respectively. The extraction purity of high-level directional boreholes reaches the peak when the working face first sees the square. The optimal depth of the upper corner buried pipe is 15 ~ 20 m. The roof enhanced extraction boreholes are arranged at 30 ~ 150 m from the open-off cut to help suppress gas emission during the initial mining period. After comprehensive treatment, the gas concentration in the mining face is 0.09 % ~ 0.53 %, and the gas concentration in the upper corner is 0.2 % ~ 0.7 %. The gas emission is effectively controlled, and the gas fluctuation is generally stable.
