The original planning of the second mining area of Anze Dengmaotong Coal Industry Co., Ltd.of Yangquan Coal Industry Group was based on the previous detection data. However, in the actual mining process, it was found that the spacing between No.2 coal seam and No.3 coal seam was smaller than that of the previous detection. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the production planning and re-select and verify the mining equipment. This paper describes in detail the current situation of the second mining area, the change design and the selection and verification process of the mining equipment. Through the selection calculation and verification of key equipment such as shearer, scraper conveyor and hydraulic support, the original No.3 coal seam hydraulic support is adjusted to ZY5200/14/32 type, and the remaining main equipment remains unchanged, which can meet the production demand. The research results provide a strong guarantee for the safe production of the second mining area.
