Experimental research on detection of fracture zone in similar material model by low strain reflected wave method

Abstract:Similar material simulation plays an important role in the comprehensive study of mine geological disasters, which solves the problem of studying the movement characteristics of coal seam under various mining methods. In the simulation of similar materials, the deformation,displacement and the development of segregation layer and fracture zone formed by mining activities in the model, can judge the failure deformation characteristics of overlying rock. Based on the low strain reflection principle of elastic wave field and the high sensitivity of engineering pile measuring equipment, the similar material simulation model was detected before and after deformation, and the deformation location and fracture zone distribution were comprehensively analyzed and explained. The experimental results showed that the low strain measurement method could reflect the model fracture, which was basically consistent with the actual model measurement results.
