Abstract： In response to the current situation that the use of vertical boreholes to seal mine water breakout points was ineffective, the residual water volume persisted for a long time, and the ineffective mine drainage affected the economic efficiency and safety of the mine, Jizhong Energy Fengfeng Group, while carrying out surface area treatment to ensure the safe production of mine water control, actively broadened the application field and introduced the area treatment horizontal well (hole) technology to seal mine water breakout points (especially some long time and unclear water points), the use of horizontal borehole technology was introduced. This paper described in detail the horizontal drilling arrangement method, drilling structure, grouting equipment selection, slurry proportioning and drilling construction technology requirements when using horizontal hole technology to seal water breakout points.
