Based on the successful cases of water blockage after the occurrence of several sudden water accidents in the Fengfeng mine, the methods of rapid identification of sudden water sources, identification of sudden water channel types and location of sudden water channels after the occurrence of sudden water accidents in the mine were described in detail. The principle of fast water blocking treatment, the arrangement and structure of water blocking borehole, the selection and placement order of aggregate, the grouting method and the method of judging the success of water blocking were described.
