Experimental research of spontaneous combustion characteristics of No.15 coal seam in Fusheng Mine

Spontaneous combustion is the main type of coal mine disaster. Due to the complexity of coal formation and molecular structure, the spontaneous combustion characteristics of coal in different mining areas are not the same. To grasp the spontaneous combustion condition of No.15 coal seam in Fusheng Mine, an experimental study was conducted on the spontaneous combustion characteristics of the coal seam. In the traditional identification of spontaneous combustion tendency, it was found that the spontaneous combustion tendency grade of No.15 coal seam is Class II spontaneous combustion coal seam. The shortest natural firing period of the coal seam is 65 days through the coal warming oxidation experiment, combined with the spontaneous combustion period model calculation. In the thermogravimetric analysis experiment, several main characteristic temperature points in the process of temperature increase of coal were obtained, the coal dry cracking temperature 94 ℃ and coal's active temperature 170 ℃. Through this study, the main spontaneous combustion characteristics of No. 15 coal seam were got, and the relevant parameters exerted very important guiding significance for the formulation of spontaneous combustion control measures.
