Surrounding rock control of compound soft rock roadway was one of difficult problem of roadway supporting. Based on the specific engineering project, the reason of the deformation that the high stress of deep roadway and the strong theology surrounding rock were analyzed, the existing problems of the primary support program was revealed, and a technology that the “bolt, steel wire rope, spray, grout” controlling the surrounding rock was used. The result of the experiment showed that good effect of surrounding rock controlling was obtained and the deformation convergence was small.
